Circuit Breaker Panel Directory & Label Maker
Make a clear directory for the circuits you have verified. Match your panel, edit each physical position, then save or print. No account or panel manufacturer database required.
This tool documents existing circuits; it does not identify them. Verify every description. If identification is uncertain, ask a qualified electrician. Do not remove energized panel covers or perform energized testing for this tool.

How to make a useful panel directory
Copy the numbering on your actual panel rather than assuming every breaker box follows the same pattern. In two-column layouts, odd/even runs across the rows; sequential-by-column counts down the left side before the right. Custom numbering lets you match another arrangement. Review the live preview after setup changes.
Describe verified locations and purposes clearly enough that another household member can understand them. A tandem has two separately described circuits in one physical space. A two-pole entry spans two neighboring positions down the same column in this editor. If your panel uses another arrangement, do not force that assignment: use ordinary entries with clear custom labels and have uncertain identification reviewed by an electrician. This tool does not establish electrical suitability.
Export an editable copy after changes and update the verification date only when you have checked the descriptions. Keep a full-page reference with optional notes in household records. The compact directory prioritizes circuit numbers and descriptions; notes appear in the full-page reference.
Printing and Avery 5160 geometry
Template dimensions and print limitations
Avery 5160 uses US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches), three columns and ten rows of nominal 2.625 × 1 inch labels. This tool uses a 0.1875 inch left margin, 0.5 inch top margin, 2.75 inch horizontal pitch and 1 inch vertical pitch. Margins and pitch were checked against the vector positions in Avery’s official 5160 template; they are not inferred from label size alone.
The manufacturer PDF outline is approximately 2.63 inches wide; this tool uses the requested nominal 2.625-inch label width with the same verified origins and pitch. Text is inset from label edges. Long descriptions can overflow; the layout check warns and printing is blocked until text fits. Browser, driver, feed and physical printer margins can affect alignment. No physical alignment has been verified yet.
Safety and limitations
Label only circuits you have verified. This directory maker is not a circuit identifier, load calculator, wiring plan, diagnostic tool or code-compliance check. It does not supply amperages, wire sizes or appliance assignments for your home.
Do not cover manufacturer warnings, ratings, breaker handles or ventilation. Use only the panel’s designated directory area and verify the paper or label dimensions fit. Never remove energized panel covers or perform energized testing to use this editor. Ask a qualified electrician when circuit identification or panel arrangement is uncertain.
