How the Paver Calculator Works

The calculator divides the total project area by the face area of one paver. It then adds your selected waste allowance and rounds up to a whole paver.

Pavers Needed = Project Area ÷ Paver Face Area

A 10% waste allowance is a useful starting point for ordinary layouts. Projects with diagonal patterns, curves, borders, or numerous cuts may require 15% or more.

Base and Bedding Sand

The base and sand estimates use the entered project area and material depths. Actual requirements can vary with grading, soil conditions, compaction, and excavation depth.
