How the Estimate Works

If comparing a painted finish with wallpaper, estimate paint for a separately considered wall finish separately; roll coverage and paint coverage have different allowances and limitations. For irregular wall surfaces, measure wall areas built from several simple shapes before entering dimensions; this does not add pattern-repeat matching to the wallpaper estimate.

The calculator finds the room perimeter, multiplies it by wall height and the number of equal rooms, and subtracts the combined area of doors and windows.
